Naim Peress: I am a novelist with an intense interest in the Civil War. After having written my second novel about our civil conflict, I am now researching my third novel, which will be set during the Civil War as well. My interest began when I saw the Civil War film documentary by Ken Burns and it blossomed when I read James McGregor Burns's Battle Cry of Freedom. I've been into the Civil War since then.
